SmilePix On-Line Manual

Introduction

This on-line manual has been created to give you the best advice for creating great smile portraits of your patients. It all starts with the photograph! We here at SmilePix can do our best work with good quality smile portraits.

Remember that your patient is probably very self conscious of their teeth and may not give you the open smile you are looking for. They have spent many years hiding their smile and it may take you a number of photographs before you can get them to relax and give you the kind of smile our artist can work with.

This is Important: Make sure the patient likes the photo your are going to send us (at very least make sure they don't hate the photo). If the patient does not like the photo you send to us, the rest of the process could very well be a waste of time. They will not look at the photo because they are unhappy with the way they look.

This form of marketing may take some time. We have heard from some of our clients that their patient walked into their office two years later with before and after pictures in hand and said that they are now ready to proceed. So it is kind of a numbers game. Certainly, you want to qualify the patient before to find out how they feel about their smile. You may find that some patients, once they see the simulation, are ready to go right away. While others may need some time to think about it and show the photos to family, friends or co-workers. The patient may also need to figure out financing and the simulations are a great way for them to show someone what all the money they will be paying for the treatment will buy.
